Feroplast Launches Photovoltaic Plant Project for Energy-Efficient Operations
Feroplast d.o.o. is proud to announce the start of the construction of a photovoltaic plant under project NPOO.C1.1.1.R4-I1.01.0021, aimed at achieving energy and resource efficiency. The plant will be located at Grožnjanska 5, 52460 Buje, on roof surfaces with a total capacity of 404.25 kWp on the DC side and 330 kW on the AC side, with a software limit of 300 kW to the grid.
We expect the plant, consisting of 1,078 modules with a power output of 375 W each, to significantly reduce the need for purchased energy. The project includes several key deadlines, such as the signing of the contract by February 5, 2024, and confirmation for permanent operation by June 7, 2024.
Production results have shown a 10% improvement compared to expectations, and the analysis of energy production in the first months of the plant's operation indicates significant savings and efficiency:
- May 2024: 48.16 MWh produced
- June 2024: 64.74 MWh produced
- July 2024: 71.63 MWh produced

Feroplast has successfully completed the EU project IRI-2 in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka. The project resulted in increased corrosion resistance of products, improved energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Additionally, the project enabled the filing of a patent and design protection, while certain elements will serve as a foundation for further research and future collaborations with scientific institutions.
